About University of Stuttgart
The University of Stuttgart with its 27,000 students was founded in 1829 as a technical university. Today, their special profile as "Stuttgart Way" stands for the consistent networking of complementary specialist disciplines and partners, as well as the integration of engineering, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences. Its outstanding position as a worldwide networked research university is reflected, among other things, in the excellence cluster "Simulation Technology", the graduate school "Advanced Manufacturing Engineering", the cooperative research camp ARENA2036 as well as numerous special research areas and graduate colleges.
Project involvement within ARENA2036
The University of Stuttgart is involved in ARENA2036 with a large number of its institutes.
For example, the Institute for Aircraft Design (IFB) is anchored in ARENA2036 with the research project "LeiFu: Intelligent lightweight design with functional integration" and the project "DigitPro: Holistic digital prototype in light weight design for large-scale production". The project Khoch3 is also supported by the University of Stuttgart.
